Sunday 16th February 2014: GMT + 8hrs Singapore River Bumboat Cruise: Jumping Boys, Durian Shaped Buildings & That Flying Boat For The Last Time

The first picture above is of the Elgin Suspension Bridge, based on the design of the famous bridge in Newcastle, Northeast England and just beyond the bridge is the lovely sculpture of the little boys jumping into the river to cool off.  No longer allowed of course.

The photo of the prickly building – often referred to as the durian building after the famous tropical fruit – is of the theatre.

Next Comes the Merlion Fountain based on the legend I mentioned of the Prince who saw a mythical beast: part lion and part fish.

Last but ne comes that flying boat building again: this time form across the Marina and finally a photo of the lotus flower shaped Science Museum.
