Monday 17th February 2014: GMT + 8hrs Singapore Zoo: Inquisitive Ring-Tailed Lemurs

There you are wandering through one of the enclosures on the look out for whatever you can see when suddenly a long, fluffy grey and white hooped tail appears between your legs as the ring-tailed lemurs take the direct route to bowls of fruit newly laid out by keepers!

Naturally I had the wrong lens on the camera so had a job with close-up shots but here are two to amuse you.

The second one is just great and reflects the inquisitiveness of these lovely animals.  I think the caption to the photo should be “OK. What’s Everyone Looking At?!”  They were looking at huge fruit bats gorging themselves just a metre from the other side of the fence.

Just around the corner was a Two Toed Sloth with a baby clinging upside down of course to its mother.  I’ve seen sloths in South America but not 2 feet away, awake and feeding with young!
