Monday 17th February 2014: GMT + 8hrs Singapore Zoo: A Breakfast With Who?

Another early start this time to visit Singapore Zoo and to have what one of my table companions described as “breakfast with the relatives!”  but really some adorable Sumatran Orang-utans.

Singapore Zoo was established in 1973 and has an extensive endangered species-breeding programme.  The layout of the zoo is excellent (See the photo of the Flamingos) with seemingly no cages except for the smallest of animals or reptiles.

The trees are full of white-faced monkeys or Orang-utans that swing gently through the canopy.

Again the best way to convey the spirit of this visit is through a series of photos and a few words of text.
