All too soon it was time to board the buses for the long trip back to Colombo so what better way to end our visit than to witness the small herd including my friend on their return for the river – a youngster racing ahead calling to the others to keep up!!
So all said and done a very pleasant and interesting visit to this land of friendly people, rolling hills and a new found friend.
A Footnote: Yes I did find some wonderful handcrafted fridge magnets; some crafted in wood, some form buffalo hide and ‘believe it or not’ some made from elephant dung paper!
