Only a mystery since the gardens referred to in my Olsen Tour Programme Guide for the final visit of the day in Hiroshima are actually in Tokyo and I never got to them either but another garden!!
The day had turned out to be much warmer than expected so it was no hardship to wander around this mystery garden in the late afternoon sunshine. The recent cold weather enjoyed by Japan - it has been colder than in the UK with more snow than usual – has kept back the cherry blossom but the plums – very popular too in Japan – were magnificent! It led me to wonder how my Victoria Plum that regularly tries to kill itself every year by setting too much fruit, is doing in a wet and dank UK.
I think that the second photo above sums up the day in Hiroshima – reflections in a pool in this Japanese Garden of no name.
